‘Competence and Excellence in Extension and Education’

The European Seminar on Extension and Education (ESEE) was held in April 2015 and hosted by the Education and Competence Studies Group (ECS) of Wageningen University, The Netherlands. The conference provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences among university staff, private and professional personnel and others who are involved in Extension and Education.
In the conference session, ‘Agricultural extension and innovation’ which covered the conference theme, ‘Extension, Innovation and Transition’, drawing on work within the VALERIE case studies Julie Ingram (University of Gloucestershire, UK) presented ‘Co-innovation – new approaches to translating research outputs for innovation in agriculture’.
